GuitarIn 1989, Kerry did 3 months of voluntary work at CPRI (Child and Parent Resource Institute) in order to allow the facility to observe the effectiveness of music therapy. After the initial months, Kerry was hired on a short term fee for service contract. Fee for service contracts continued until the position was established as a permanent part time position in 1993.

As Kerry worked at establishing music therapy at CPRI, she also gradually built up a practice. In 1995, another therapist was hired to work with Kerry, and the practice gained the name “Music Therapy of London”. In 1999, Kerry left CPRI in order to focus her attention on developing the practice.
